Beginning level Level 1
  • Learn to read written Hangul.
  • Understand basic grammar structures including tense and connecting particles.
  • Language skills necessary for basic life.
Level 2
  • Learn the distinction between honorific, familiar and indirect speech
  • Basic problem solving with an understanding of simple concepts used in daily life.
  • Understand basic cultural nuances.
Intermediate level Level 3
  • Learn to have conversations with relatively complex listening and understanding demands.
  • Capable of providing communication skills, which meet the standards required to live in Korea.
  • Ability to express one's thoughts in writing with accurate grammar and vocabulary.
Level 4
  • Understand thinking methods and culture of Koreans.
  • Express verbal and written opinions in one’s daily life.
  • · Read and understand text for the sake of gaining knowledge about Korean society and culture.
Advanced level Level 5
  • Logically express one’s thoughts and opinions about such topics as politics, economics, society, and history.
