        We aim to cultivate individual and creative professionals.

        Introduce

        For modern people living in a material, civilized society, it is important to develop individuality for a human life and a more prosperous life. Therefore, the purpose of this department is to cultivate individual and creative experts who can cultivate the succession and development of traditional culture, the upright scholar spirit, and suggest new directions for modern culture and art based on this. This department specializes in education with a major in culture and arts and education.

        Culture and arts (Calligraphy, Painting Arts, Content Convergence Design, Cultural Management, Aesthetics, Traditional Performing Arts, Painting and Art Form)

        For the purpose of converging the traditions of our culture and modern culture, the Culture and Arts major fosters experts who can actively cope with creativity and leadership, and rapidly changing modern society and culture and arts based on understanding tradition. In order to lead the creative culture and arts of the future by inheriting the legacy of traditional cultural heritage, the majors are character shaping, painting art, cultural management (beauty art management), content fusion design, folklore, aesthetics, and traditional music.

        Calligraphy

        Calligraphy must respond to the demands of the times and society in a transformed form within the essence of the development of culture and art in response to the trend of the times. Therefore, for the purpose of establishing cultural and artistic indicators that reflect the spirit of the era of calligraphy, we are constantly striving to make this school a mecca for calligraphy through various studies and education.

        Painting Arts

        Painting art aims to actively respond to the rapidly changing flow of contemporary art and inherit the vein of cultural heritage, while cultivating professionals who will lead the creative art culture of the future. To this end, majors are classified into oriental painting, Western painting, and sculpture, and curriculums that increase opportunities for convergence between majors or genres are commonly operated. Through this, it fosters a comprehensive creative ability for art as a whole, an understanding of new art styles, and a critical perspective on works, while enhancing the subjective view of art that must be equipped as a professional artist.

        Content Convergence Design

        This era, led by the Global Standard, is now centered on design and is the beginning. To this end, it is necessary to foster the best professional designers who demonstrate rational and efficient design opportunities in the field. The content convergence design major aims to cultivate creative and innovative design experts based on on on-the-job training by conducting intensive industry-academic cooperation on broad and professional theories and design processes.

        Cultural Management

        Culture management deals with the management of culture and arts institutions or the discipline of commercializing culture and arts, and it is a field where culture and arts and management can be combined to create synergy. This includes various fields such as culture and arts management, culture and arts start-up, culture and arts marketing, culture and arts policy, culture and arts education, and cultural welfare.

        Aesthetics

        It is to produce a harmonious talent of reason and emotion through theoretical reflection and practical application on beauty and art. To this end, aesthetics majors provide opportunities for theoretical reflection through academic methods such as philosophy, history, psychology, and sociology, and practical applications through artistic genres such as art, music, dance, theater, and film.

        Traditional Performing Arts

        The traditional performing arts major aims to systematically study various performing arts such as music, dance, and performance, which form the root of Korean traditional culture, and to create new artistic value by fusing them with modern senses. This major theoretically explores the aesthetics and ideas of traditional Korean performing arts, and cultivates the perspective and creative capabilities of traditional performing artists through an analytical curriculum. It also supports creative projects, performance planning, and cultural content development that connect tradition and modernity by revitalizing interdisciplinary convergence research.

        Painting and Art Form

        Hwayejo-hyung aims to cultivate professional painters by exploring artistry and spirituality through flowers, inheriting and researching the spirit and form of traditional Korean painters as a fusion art that encompasses tradition and modernity, molding and healing, theory and practical skills, integrating Eastern and Western Hwaye theory with contemporary art, and cultivating art content planning and convergence capabilities.

        Education(Early Childhood Education, Computer Education, Social Welfare, Lifelong Education)

        Cultivate educational experts who can actively cope with the rapidly changing field of pedagogy by cultivating creativity and leadership. Accordingly, it diagnoses and solves various educational problems in the field of pedagogy, and educates professional theories and practical skills to contribute to educational implementation. The detailed majors in pedagogy are early childhood education, computer education, social welfare studies, and lifelong education.

        Early Childhood Education

        As the need to cultivate experts in early childhood education increases rapidly due to national interest in early childhood education and the increase in related institutions, the purpose is to cultivate early childhood education professionals who can lead the academic development of early childhood education and improve and change the early childhood education field.

        Computer Education

        In order to operate a flexible curriculum that reflects the rapid environmental changes in the 4th industrial revolution and digital transformation era, it consists of computer education CORE, computer subject education research, artificial intelligence/data science, metaverse/multimedia, physical computing, computing thinking & design thinking, and field research, and aims to cultivate computer education experts through this.

        Social welfare studies

        It aims to solve the growing problems of individuals, families, and communities in modern society through welfare counseling, and to cultivate social welfare professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills through learning and research on human needs, improving people's quality of life, social welfare policy and administration, and social welfare counseling.

        Lifelong Education

        Lifelong education is a core study for strengthening national competitiveness and improving the quality of life of the people, and it is a professional activity to satisfy learning, a basic human need, and cultivates knowledge of theory and practice, including areas and objects of lifelong education in the process of understanding basic core concepts of lifelong education and realizing the ideology of a lifelong learning society.
