          Eung-Hyeon Kim was appointed as the first chief director at the first general meeting
          by the ‘Educational Foundation of Dongbang Institute’

          Dec. 06.

          Educational Foundation of Dongbang college allowed by Ministry of Education in Korea

          Change of legal title from Dongbang Institute to Dongbang College

          The executive chief of the Korean Buddhist Taego Order, Un-San Lee paid a contribution
          with cash and real estate

          Monk Gyu-Beom Lee was appointed as the forth chief director

          Dongbang University allowed by Ministry of Education in Korea

          Dongbang University opened.
          Master’s courses started (total 100 students) in Dept. of Writing, Painting
          and Calligraphy, Dept. of Buddhist Culture and Art, and the Dept. of Folk Culture
          Dr. Sang-Ok Jeong was appointed as the first president of Dongbang University.

          Doctoral and masters programs were established in 3 new departments (total of 205 students)
          Master’s courses with a total of 80 students, Doctoral courses with total 45 studetns,
          and combined master’s and doctorate programs with a total of 80 students

          The first graduation ceremony with 10 masters students

          Ho-Un-Gwan building (three floors plus basement) opened in Seongbuk-dong 304-2/3)

          Change of university name to Dongbang Culture University
